Things to do in San Diego

Greetings from Linda at Beach Hut Bed & Breakfast.  I actually have a magazine that is entitled ‘101 Things to Do in San Diego’.  If you ever get bored during your stay here – it’s your own fault!!! Probably the hardest part of your planning a San Diego vacation will be in deciding what to do, what to see and where to go “in the time that you have”.

There is every kind of activity imaginable here from major attractions, to unlimited outdoor recreation, to a thriving arts and culture community, to sightseeing tours, and award wining restaurants.  Then again, the best part of your vacation may be doing nothing at all at our 70 miles of beautiful beaches, countless parks and gardens, or our numerous spas and resorts.

So, what’s the best way to plan.  I would suggest that you start at Trip Adviser by searching Things to do in San Diego.  This site gives detailed information on 198 Attractions, 165 Activities, 55 ideas for Nightlife and 42 for Shopping. Then I would go to the website TourGuideTim.com – it is a great site done by a local and it has none to very little advertising and it is very user friendly.  Tim analyzes attractions by location in one section and by theme in another and he offers personal sightseeing tours.

The best guidance I can offer is “Don’t try to do everything”.  Make sure you leave time to enjoy the quiet beauty of our Sunsets, the roar of the ocean waves and the warmth of the sun on your skin.
